Samurai Warriors 5 - Mitsuhide's Path | The Incident at Honnoji (Part 54)

Mitsuhide's Chapter 6 starts straight with Honnoji. He decides to kill Nobunaga because "He continues to fight even after becoming the most powerful man in the world." and calls him the real source of the turmoil.

I mean...what the fuck are you expecting, Mitsuhide? Did you think he'd just stop when all the other clans around him are still resisting? Were you expecting him to win them over with negotiations all of a sudden? Was Nobunaga supposed to just go "Well, we're not done, but this is good enough, gg guys." and then just fucking stop? Is this supposed to make sense?

This is, by far, the weakest reason I have ever seen for Mitsuhide's rebellion.

sigh Well, the stage itself cranks up the difficulty a bit. Yasuke and Mitsuki both have extra health bars and put up a decent fight. Sandayu is...around, I guess. Mitsuhide's just like "Could it be that he's really alive?" when literally the last fucking stage he said Hanzo was right in thinking that he WAS still alive, so I guess he just can't make up his fucking mind.

10:32 - I'd have laughed so hard if Mitsuhide cut the log and the split half just slammed into Toshimitsu and the random peon behind him. I mean that's what SHOULD have happened. Instead it fell down slightly in front of Mitsuhide, somehow losing all moment when he sliced it.

Also, during the first cutscene where Nobunaga and Mitsuhide fight, we see Nobunaga scoff. The translator decides to translate a SCOFF as "Understood." I give up with this guy, he just does what he wants.

When we finally reach Nobunaga, he has 3 health bars just like Mitsuhide did in the other version of this battle. And just like that version, we still don't get to end this fight properly by taking them all down, the fight just stops once you drain 2 of Nobunaga's health bars. The cutscene at the end is different, for whatever reason. In Nobunaga's Yasuke just leaves with the Samonji after the castle is burnt up. In Mitsuhide's, he brings it to him instead.

Also this is the least bloody Honnoji I've ever seen. With Ranmaru not being in the game and Yasuke surviving, it's really only Nobunaga that dies here. Man, why the hell is Ranmaru not in this game..?
