Steghide allows you to both encrypt and conceal text files inside picture or audio files, using Steganography & encryption.

Steganography is the practice of embedding / concealing information inside a cover file.

In the past I shared how to use zulu-crypt to both encrypt and conceal files inside video files.

Steghide is a commandline Linux utility for employing encryption and steganography.

First steghide encrypts the data using a password of your choice.

Then it manipulates the pixel image file to embed this, hidden into the picture.

Allowing the picture to look exactly the same - except for added size to account for new information being embedded (encrypted).

We show how to both use it to embed using default settings, and also twofish enhancement.
