On a nice, cool late Summer morning we parked at the Angel Falls Trailhead at Leatherwood Ford. Angel Falls is only two miles downstream. Those two miles were filled with great river views and gorgeous wildflowers. Angel Falls is a powerful rapid, and will impress anyone who looks at it from the surrounding rocks. High along the bluffs along the rim of the canyon soared a pair of adult bald eagles. I couldn’t ask for anymore on an easy, four mile out and back hike.
