When we think about minimalism and simplifying our lives, we often focus on the habits we want to build—those that bring us closer to a more peaceful, intentional way of living. We look for the things we can add to our lives to make them better, more streamlined, and less chaotic. But what if part of the answer lies not just in what we add, but in what we take away?

In my own minimalist journey, I’ve come to realize that some habits, which seem harmless or even beneficial, can quietly hold us back. These behaviors sneak into our daily routines and slowly accumulate, adding invisible weight to our lives. They often go unnoticed because they’re so ingrained in how we operate that we don’t even question them anymore. Yet, these habits prevent us from making the progress we desire in simplifying and decluttering—not just our homes, but our minds, relationships, and overall lifestyle.

That’s why, in this video, I want to flip the conversation. Instead of talking about the habits you should build to simplify your life, I’m going to focus on the ones that need to go.
