Each year for the past several years, Casio has released one or two pairs of "Fire Package" watches which are meant to celebrate those of us who have an adventurous outlook towards life. The Fire Package sets from a given year feature different models with matching color combinations. For the year 2025, the AWG-M100 and the watch in this video, the GW-2320, each have a slight lavender color theme. It's very subtle and, in some ways, looks like just a plain metal finish.

While the Fire Package watches are normally introduced in the first few weeks of the year and only in the Japanese market, the 2025 models are also readily available on Casio's website for the United States. I also found the analog/digital model at the JC Penney website for a good bargain. I bought the watch in this video for only about $110 from Amazon's website but its normal price is $150 from Amazon and from Casio's website.

This watch uses Casio's module 3537. The only other watch using this module is last year's Fire Package version of the GW2320. Previous models of the GW2300 series watches used a different module. This new one has an LED backlight with a unique feature that makes the LCD look like a negative display when the backlight is activated in the dark. The backlight can be set to automatically illuminate when you hold the watch in a viewing position.

This is a "Tough Solar" watch with a solar cell built into the face of the watch. Regular exposure to normal lighting will keep the battery charged effortlessly! It also has "Multiband 6" Wave Ceptor technology so, each night, it will set itself to the correct time automatically (in areas of the world where Atomic Time reception is available). Regular viewers of The Good Timekeeping Show know that Tough Solar and Multiband 6 are my favorite attributes of Casio watches. I'm thrilled that my watches can receive WWVB to stay accurate right down to the second and to automatically make changes for Daylight Saving Time. My oldest Tough Solar watch has been running non-stop for more than 19 years without needing a new battery.

The watch has a countdown timer which can be set to full-minute durations from just one minute up to a full 24 hours. It also has a 24-hour stopwatch and five daily alarms (one of which is a snooze alarm) and an hourly chime. It has a World Time mode and the ability to show the local time and world time zone simultaneously. In addition it has Casio's legendary G-Shock shock resistance and 20 Bar (200 Meter) water resistance. In all, a nice, not-too-large, tough, full-featured watch which will not challenge your budget!
