Описание к видео Airport scenes as family bring home body of journalist killed in conflict

(25 Aug 2012) The body of a Japanese journalist killed in Syria was flown back to Japan on Saturday.
After an 11-hour flight from Istanbul, the coffin of Mika Yamamoto was unloaded from a Turkish Airlines aircraft as its pilot and crew saluted her and Narita airport officials observed a moment of silence.
Yamamoto's two sisters as well as her colleague, Kazutaka Sato, were also aboard the flight.
The 45-year-old's body was taken to Turkey on Tuesday after she was fatally wounded in the crossfire between rebels and government forces in the besieged city of Aleppo.
Yamamoto and her colleague Kazukata Sato were travelling with the Free Syrian Army in the northwestern Syrian city.
She was a veteran reporter who worked for The Japan Press - an independent TV news provider that specialises in reporting during conflicts.
She was the fifth foreign journalist to be killed in Syria since the start of the war, the media watchdog group Reporters Without Borders said.
A sixth journalist died from a severe asthma attack during an undercover reporting trip.
The deaths highlight the extreme threat to journalists who report firsthand on the Syrian conflict, which by some estimates has killed more than 20-thousand people and forced well over a (m) million to flee their homes since the uprising against President Bashar Assad began in March 2011.
