🇺🇸 In this video I gathered a series of images related to the regional folk costumes used in each of the Portuguese provinces.
The 'VIRA' is a traditional folk dance from Portugal. In a "Vira de Roda", dancing pairs form a large circle (roda) that revolves counter-clockwise. While dancing, they raise arms and snap fingers to the rhythm of the music. At a certain moment, the circle stops revolving, and each boy leaves his pair and turns to the opposite side, and to the center of the circle, where he knocks with his right foot on the floor, before returning to his pair. Then it's the girls who turn to the opposite side, and to the center of the circle, to knock with the right foot on the floor, before returning to their pair.

🇵🇹 Neste video juntei uma série de imagens relacionadas com os trajes folclóricos regionais usados em cada uma das províncias portuguesas.
O 'VIRA' é uma dança folclórica tradicional de Portugal. No "Vira de Roda", pares dançando formam um círculo grande (roda) que gira no sentido contrário ao relógio. Enquanto dançam, levantam os braços e estalam os dedos ao ritmo da música. A certo momento, a roda pára de girar e cada rapaz deixa o seu par e volta-se para o lado oposto e para o centro da roda, onde bate com o pé direito no chão, antes de voltar para o seu par. Depois são as raparigas que se voltam para o lado oposto e para o centro, para baterem com o pé direito no chão, antes de voltarem para o seu par.
