Hey guys!

Today we'll prep our iKamper Skycamp 2.0 for some snow camping. We’ll post a follow up video in a few days with a quick field test review. So please be on the lookout for it.

The insulation tent comes rolled up in this cool iKamper duffel bag with simple instructions. Lets install it!

Since the base of the iKamper is made out of metal, the cold creeps up through the mattress. The solution we found is to add a couple of backpacking air mattresses that act as additional insulation.

First step is to locate the door of the insulation tent, and place it in the Skycamp’s entrance. Connect the 4 S-hooks at the top and the 2 tension hooks at the bottom and then pull the webbing to adjust tension. The next step is to clip the 9 plastic hooks to the pole at the entrance of the Skycamp. The last step is to connect the 2 S-hooks to their corresponding loops and tuck excess material under the mattress.

Let’s see if the additional mattresses, the insulation tent, and two winter sleeping bags will allow us to close the iKamper.

Pros
• Overall, the installation was simple.
• High-quality material.
• Comes with a cool duffel bag featuring a compact design for storage.
• Easy access to the windows and skylight.
• Made the tent noticeably warmer within a few minutes.

Cons
• The last step of hooking up the 2 s-hooks proved to be tricky; opening the window-access zippers made it easier.
• Fitting the iKamper mattresses proved to be a tight squeeze in the corners.
• It was a little challenging to close the iKamper shell.
