Dueling Dragons is a super unique Intamin dueling coaster with a sit-down coaster (Red, though IMHO the track is slightly more orange than red) stacked on top of an inverted coaster (Green), which diverge and begin to duel after the loop.

Unfortunately, the park hasn't operated both sides at the same time in years (not sure if this was a covid casualty or something else). I think they've even removed all the netting that protected riders from loose objects coming from the other train. Not only do they not run both sides at the same time, they don't even run them on THE SAME DAY! It took me THREE visits to actually get both sides because of their alternating operating days plus rain.

Was it worth it? I'd say so. I think the Red side was one of the best coasters on the trip. The Green side is very good but not quite as impressive. Really wish I'd had the opportunity to experience it dueling, as that would have added so much to the experience.

Dueling Dragons is located at Guangzhou Sunac Land on the northern side of Guangzhou, China.

I had the opportunity to visit on August 20, 2025 as part of a big Asia trip. I then returned the next day on August 21, 2025 and got rained out. And finally managed to ride the Green side on August 23, 2025.
