Inspired by the School of Life's YouTube series on Western Philosophy, "Al-Kindi: The Father of Arab Philosophy" is the pilot episode of a fifteen part series cataloguing the personal lives and contributions to civilization of historical thinkers that emerged from the 'Islamic World'.

Our series hopes to bridge the historic gap between ancient Greek philosophy and the Enlightenment, texturing in centuries of philosophical breakthroughs and insights. It will be a Crash Course on Islamic Philosophy and the History of Philosophical Ideas.
