Follow the below steps to create a drop-down box in Word:

Step 1. In Microsoft Word document, go to File menu and click on Options under More. Under Customize Ribbon, tick the Developer menu and click OK. You can find Developer menu added now in your tab list on the top of the ribbon.
Step 2. Go to the Developer menu and then click on the Drop-Down List Content Control.
Step 3. Go to the Developer menu and then click on the Properties. Under General, give the Title, Tag, Color etc. Then under Drop-Down List Properties, remove the default one and add the lists you want. Then click OK.
Step 7. Go to the Developer menu and then click on the Design Mode to modify the content.
Step 8. You can delete the content by pressing the delete or backspace button from the keyboard.
