The future of building: A school in Lombok made from recycled plastic

Описание к видео The future of building: A school in Lombok made from recycled plastic

A new school in Taman Sari village in Lombok Indonesia has been built with building blocks made from plastic waste.

The main structure took just five days to build with Eco-Blocks, a lightweight but durable building material devised by Finnish startup Block Solutions.

Plans for more Eco-Block buildings in Lombok are underway as a cheaper, faster and safer alternative to bricks and mortar.

The project is backed by Australian charity Classroom of Hope and Lombok-based NGO Pelita Foundation, as part of an ongoing reconstruction program following the devastating earthquakes in 2018.
