Welcome to my YouTube channel! This is the first video of our amazing Bhutan trip. Join us as we embark on an unforgettable journey from Bengaluru to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

Our Story:
Our adventure begins with a brief introduction as we prepare to leave home for Bengaluru Airport. After exploring Terminal 2, we land in Bagdogra and take a 4-hour cab ride to Jaigaon, the entry point to Bhutan through Phuentsholing. We enjoy a delightful breakfast in Siliguri before crossing into Bhutan.

Meet our driver Namghay and guide Chimi, who assist us through immigration. Experience the scenic 5-hour drive to Thimphu, with a memorable stop at a foggy check post along the way. Despite a booking mix-up, we settle into our Airbnb and begin to unravel the beauty of Bhutan through our eyes in this journey!

Important Details for Indian Travelers:

1) SDF (Sustainable Development Fee) is compulsory at Rs 1200 per person per night.
2) A guide and cab are mandatory.
3) You need your passport or voter ID to get the permit (no visa required for Indian citizens).
4) Proof of hotel and flight bookings is required for immigration.
5) Travel insurance per person for Rs 500, which can be obtained from the immigration office.
6) All Indian currency notes work in Bhutan, with no restriction on Rs 500 notes. However, it's advisable to carry Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes in small amounts like Rs 10,000.
7) 1 INR is equal to 1 Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN).
