E.P. # 56 Bill MacCormick is an English bassist and vocalist most well-known for his work in bands such as Quiet Sun, Matching Mole, 801, & Random Hold. In this episode we talked about his growing up in England and his playing bass thru the 1970's with bands like Quiet Sun(Phil Manzanera & Brian Eno), Matching Mole with Robert Wyatt, & touring with both XTC and Peter Gabriel in Random Hold! We also talked about the making of the classic 801 live recording with an all-star cast of Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Francis Monkman, Lolld Watson, and a young 17 phenomenon on drums Simon Phillips! He also mentioned doing the Genesis website for over 8 years!
