Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 - PS2 Retro Collection [All 22 Games Shown]

In this video, we are taking a look at Capcom Classics Collection for the PlayStation 2.

Capcom Classics Collection is a compilation of some of the best Capcom arcade games from 1982 to 1994.

Digital Esclipse put a lot of love and care into this package and have curated 22 classic games for us to play. They didn't just simply put the games on a disc but also added addtional features such as the option for remixed music, Dip Switch functionality as well as allowing two player functionality for a few of the games that support it.

They seem to have used the PlayStation and Sega Saturn ports of each game that featured on Capcom's previous Capcom Generations series and the Capcom Classic Collection can be considered replacement for them titles. You can find more info on the Generations titles here:

Overall, It's a great collection and there's some great games in there. The emulation is high quality, although the image does look a little 'soft' in a few games and there's some sound mixing and screen darkning issues in Ghouls 'n Ghosts.


The gameplay was captured from a PlayStation 2 Slim (70003 model) via component cables and scaled to 4K using the RetroTink 4K.
