The Wafaqi Mohtasib e Aala, also known as the Federal Ombudsman, is an impartial and independent institution established under the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 to offer fast and inexpensive justice to citizens of Pakistan who have suffered injustice or complication because of maladministration by Federal departments. The Wafaqi Mohtasib e Aala investigates and resolves lawsuits against federal departments. We will explain the history and functions of Wafaqi Mohtasib e Aala.

Similarly, the Sobai Mohtasib Aala, also called the Provincial Ombudsman, is a similar institution, which have role to improving governance and public service regarding Provincial Institutions.
