Gimlet Cocktail - Drink Recipe

How to make a Gimlet cocktail:

Ingredients:
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) Simple Syrup
2 oz (60 ml) Gin
Garnish with a Lime Twist or Lime Wheel

Equipment:
Cocktail Glass (Coupe)
Boston Shaker
Hawthorne Strainer
Fine Mesh Strainer (Optional)

Using a Boston shaker, fill the small shaker with ice and set it aside. In the large shaker, pour in the ingredients in the order listed above. Add the ice from the small shaker and seal the two shakers with a light tap on the top small shaker. Shake for 10-12 seconds or until it's ice cold to your hands. Using the Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to help keep any lime pulp or ice chunks out, pour into a preferably chilled cocktail glass (I used a Coupe Glass) and garnish with a lime twist or lime wheel.
