There are a few videos with "Lego boats" that are a lot faster, claiming to have built the fastest Lego boat. I personally think that those boats are definitely not Lego boats, because they are powered by way faster non-lego electronics. I could easily beat them by also using non-lego electronics, but this isn't the challenge...
The record (5.3 kmh) I mentioned and beat is from "Bricks Experiment Channel"
There are no "free to download instructions" if you want to replicate it you could slow the video down by × 0.25 and build it... You can buy the necessary parts used or on Bricklink
