To most of you, L_TASHINA is being known as a fun-loving and charmingly extroverted pop singer . With her first two music-videos, the dark and androgynous "Dibs On Your Lips" and the hedonistic and hilariously funny "Baby By Design", her voice has started to conquer hearts and minds all over the world and found her place in the international pop scene.
For her new song „I Is My Name“ L_TASHINA outgrows herself. The actress and singer transforms into an ambassador for love, respect and diversity. “I Is My Name“ shares her personal vote for an open-minded society. The clear-cut lyrics tell a story about the freedom to be, to love, to live whoever you are.
The power arising from this realization can be sensed in every single syllable of L_TASHINA’s voice. In comparsion to her prior songs “Dibs on your Lips“ and “Baby by Design”, “I Is My Name” resigns dense musically arrangements. This time L_TASHINA believes in the power of pure sound – the most explicit way to make the listener hear what she has to say.
In the video we do not only hear but literally see the emotion behind the lyrics. Backed by true stories of real love, of real people and couples from all over the world, Laura is breaking free. L_TASHINA’s voice is complemented by the grand piano, played by her creative partner: Berlin- based producer and composer Alex Hoetzinger. Together they regularly release songs and music videos under their independent record label “sick chick”.
