In this short episode I will give you the brief answer to why some Chryslers are weird looking, with a help of a 1963 Chrysler New Yorker.
Many events during this time period (1961-1964) are a bit murky and many events are just hearsay and might not be facts.
For example why Virgil Exner just kept designing those cars in the early 1960`s if the management knew about the decline of the customers needs for the fins? Some say he had health issues and other designers were chip in for the designs-or he retired as some books says?
Why full size cars became junior size in 1961 when GM and Ford did not shrink their full side cars?
Virgil Exner and Elwood Engle were the greatest car designers in that era without the doubt.
