Hexagonal Waterbomb

Описание к видео Hexagonal Waterbomb

Today, we fold what I call the Hexagonal Waterbomb.

I've toyed and admired the motif for quite some time and just recently applied it to a folding tessellation.

I don't know if this design has been published or coined by another designer, if you are aware that's the case, do let me know.

We use a 1 : sqrt(3)/2 rectangle.

So that means that the long edge is unit length, and the short edge is the height of an equilateral triangle.

The pattern is very simple but it is somewhat difficult to crunch into position.
It's a great experience and exercise.

We get the motif in the five minutes or so,
The first level of the pattern in the next 15 minutes or so, and the second level in the remaining 25 minutes.

Feel free to experiment with it.

"I think that ideas exist outside of ourselves. I think somewhere, we're all connected off in some very abstract land. But somewhere between there and here ideas exist."
