Sonora Phonograph with Feedscrew Drive

Описание к видео Sonora Phonograph with Feedscrew Drive

This 1910 Sonora Phonograph used a feedscrew to propel the needle across the record. The company did this in an attempt to circumvent the Berliner patent which described the needle being propelled by the record's groove. The Supreme Court ruled that Sonora was still in violation of the Berliner patent.
