Set out for a fish at the Wollongong FAD and ended up meeting a curious whale shark!

She came up close and rubbed her face on the jetski a couple times, but I was slow to start recording... couldn't process what I was seeing.

I've dived with them in Thailand, but never expected to see one on the East Coast of Australia, especially so close to the islands while fishing.
