In today's video, we will take a look at the upcoming immigration changes for the Graduate Visa stream.

Recently, upcoming adjustments to the Migration Regulations 1994 have been registered to make it simpler for international graduates to apply for a subcategory 485 – Temporary Graduate visa under the Graduate stream, removing the need to choose a profession and hence also the need for an evaluation of skills.

Temporary Graduate visas are for international students who bear or recently had a student visa and have completed their study in Australia. There are two categories of 485 visas, the Graduate Work and the Post-Study Work category. Both categories need the student to have fulfilled the Australian study conditions.

The Post-Study Work stream is for those who have a specific degree qualification or qualifications, which were provided by either an Australian university or non-university education provider registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
