Sweet Vermicelli - Sagan Ni Sev

Описание к видео Sweet Vermicelli - Sagan Ni Sev

This is an authentic Parsi recipe. Traditionally served for breakfast on auspicious days like birthdays, new year, weddings or anniversaries. A plate of sev along with a banana, sweet yoghurt and a hard boiled egg is often sent over to ones neighbours on such days.

The amount of sugar can be adjusted to suit your taste. You can use any combination of nuts such as cashew, almonds, pecans, pistachio, charoli, walnuts, hazelnuts, or even peanuts to suit your taste and budget.
Vegans may substitute ghee with margarine or shortening. Any fat that is solid at room temp would be good. Even oil works, but taste won't be as nice. Avoid olive oil as it will give a strong flavor that spoils the taste.
