Sunday Bloody Sunday

The Saints needed to make a statement to both the fanbase and the league that this isn't a team in decline/cap hell/coach on the hot seat.

They made a Krakatoa type statement on arguably the worst team in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers in the form of a 47-10 beatdown.

This doesn't mean Saints fans should start saving for playoff tickets, but the Saints did what they were supposed to do to a terrible team: dominate them on both sides of the ball.
