«باب المراد» ویژگی‌های مثبت و ارزشمندی دارد که آن را به نمونۀ نسبتا درخشانی از یک سریال مذهبی فاخر و هنرمندانه تبدیل کرده است. اولین نکته‌ای که موقع تماشای این سریال به چشم می‌آید، وفاداری آن به روایت وقایع تاریخی و پرهیز از دراماتیزه کردن‌های بی‌مورد و تخیلی است که معمولا در سریال‌های مشابه ساخت ایران اتفاق می‌افتد.

«باب المراد» به معنای واقعی کلمه داستان زندگی امام است؛ در صحنه‌های بسیار زیادی ما شاهد حضور امام و اعضای خانوادۀ ایشان هستیم و سخنان ایشان را می‌شنویم.


در واقع عمدۀ داستان سریال در دو بخش می‌گذرد؛ یکی در حضور امام و دیگری در دربار مأمون. اما آنچه که در دربار مأمون می‌گذرد نیز یا مستقیما مربوط به امام است و یا مربوط به وقایع تاریخی مهم و اثرگذار دوران زندگی ایشان؛ وقایعی از قبیل قیام‌های بستگان امام در شهر‌های مختلف و یا سایر اتفاقات مهم تاریخی مثل قیام بابک خرمدین.

سازندگان «باب المراد» این نکتۀ بسیار مهم را به خوبی دریافته‌اند که سریال مذهبی فقط زمانی واقعا دارای بار معنوی است که بتواند واقعیت خالص و ناب زندگی ائمه و اصل سخنان ایشان را نشان بدهد.

بعضی از سریال‌های مذهبی سعی می‌کنند با پرداختن داستان‌های فرعی و تخیلی، استفادۀ بیش از حد از موسیقی و تمهیدات بصری اغراق شده مثل صحنه‌های آهسته و وزش باد و امور دیگری از این جنس، احساس معنویت و تقدس را به مخاطب القا کنند. اما حقیقت این است که با این نوع تمهیدات فقط یک جور «مقدس‌مآبی» شکل می‌گیرد که اصلا عمیق و تاثیرگذار نیست.

"Bab al-Morad" has positive and valuable features that make it a relatively brilliant example of a luxurious and artistic religious series. The first thing that comes to mind while watching this series is its faithfulness to the narrative of historical events and avoiding unnecessary and imaginative dramatization that usually happens in similar series made in Iran.

"Bab al-Murad" is literally the story of Imam's life; In many scenes, we witness the presence of Imam and his family members and hear their words.


In fact, the main story of the series takes place in two parts; One in the presence of the Imam and the other in the court of Ma'mun. But what happens in Ma'mun's court is either directly related to the Imam or related to the important and influential historical events of his lifetime. Events such as the uprisings of the Imam's relatives in different cities or other important historical events such as the uprising of Babak Khorramdin.

The creators of "Bab Al-Morad" have understood this very important point that a religious series is only truly spiritual when it can show the pure and pure reality of the Imams' lives and the essence of their words.

Some religious series try to instill a sense of spirituality and holiness in the audience by dealing with fictional and secondary stories, excessive use of music and exaggerated visual arrangements such as slow scenes and blowing wind and other things of this kind. But the truth is that with this type of arrangements, only a kind of "sanctity" is formed, which is not deep and effective at all.
