Istanbul, rich in history and culture, offers several remarkable tourist sites. Here are popular places: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Beyazit.

Hagia Sophia Mosque
Originally built as a cathedral in 537 AD by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.
It was converted into a mosque after the Ottoman conquest in 1453.
It became a museum in 1935 and was converted back into a mosque in 2020.

Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque)
Built between 1609 and 1616 during the reign of Sultan Ahmed I.
Still functions as a mosque, with specific times designated for prayer.

Beyazit
Beyazit Square (Beyazıt Meydanı) is one of the oldest public squares in Istanbul.
The area is named after the Beyazit II Mosque, which was built between 1500 and 1505.
