Welcome back to Shimario's Rap Battles! We have an obscure one today lmao, with a battle between 2 indie Itch.io games which caught the eyes of many of my fellow rap battle makers. We have Mary Anta, the protagonist of ArcadeKitten's visual novel Cemetery Mary, against Preston Ramirez, the main villain of Dreadful Studios' horror game Preston's Hourglass. mary anta is the main protagonist of cemetery mary. she enjoys visiting the cemetery and frequently attends funerals. mary is a short young woman, usually describing herself as "a small girl." she has red hair with horns in a shape resembling a manta ray, and has big, bright red eyes which are often described as scary by others. mary is typically seen to be a kind and thoughtful person who tries to see the best in people even if they seem harsh or suspicious. she’s a bit self conscious because others often make fun of her for her interests and appearance. mary enjoys funerals and spending time at the cemetery because she finds it sweet how people always show up for their loved ones. mary had a mostly average childhood but received lots of mocking from her peers before switching to being home-schooled. mary loved things others considered odd such as tarantulas or the cemetery, a love that still remains in the present. mary seems to have had a very good relationship with both her parents, as well as her aunt, uncle and cousin crowven. growing up mary often assisted in her family’s diner and worked as a waitress.

preston ramirez is the main antagonist of preston's hourglass. he is from the fictional city of prestonia and lives inside the prestonian catacombs. he was formerly a researcher at hopeful inc. laboratories, and was working on a project called "project hourglass" that was meant to find some sort of solution to time travel. however though, he ended up getting to obsessed over the project, leading him to go insane and kill his fellow researchers. in the game, you need to run away from preston while using the hourglass to stop time and get away from him, all while collecting 8 pieces of the "anti preston spell" in order to banish him. preston is shown to be a very dedicated, aggressive, and easily upset person in game, constantly trying to hunt you down so he can get his hourglass back. all the while getting more and more aggravated, saying lines such as “get ready for the reckoning, you fucking pussy!” and "give me back my fucking hourglass!"
