In this Gravity forms tutorial you will discover how to find a Gravity Forms shortcode.

There is no easy way to find the shortcode, so we're left with just the hard way.

In case you're not familiar with the gravity forms plugin (http://bit.ly/see-gravity-forms), it is a WordPress plugin used to make forms. A gravity form is flexible enough to create a simple contact form or a complex, conditional survey.

The flexibility is the reason that gravity forms are so popular, but they don't make it easy find the shortcode. So let's do that.

I'm going to assume that you already have your form created. To find the short code go to any Post or Page or create a new one.

Inside the WYSIWYG editor click on the "Text" tab to open the WordPress text editor. Above the editor you will find an "Add Form" button. Click on that button.

Then set the simple options that you see and click on the Insert Form.

You will now see the short code inside the post. It will look something like this:

[gravityform id="1" title="true" description="true"]

The ID parameter tells the Gravity forms plugin which gravity form you want to display.

You can now copy this shortcode and place it else where in your website, like a sidebar widget for example.
