I'm only familiar with the band's debut album "L.D. 50", but I'm finally getting around to some older requests for this track. Despite the song showcasing a more polished sound from the band, Ryan Martinie still adds bountiful energy from his percussive grooves that never stop moving. I discuss his famous "tapping" technique he uses to achieve fast octaves, his snarly Warwick Thumb bass tone, his lyrical bass fills that glue the song together, how his constant subdivided grooves elevate the guitar parts, and much more! 🌪️
