An evening with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York

Описание к видео An evening with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, shared her 60 minutes with a sold-out China Exchange audience. In a wide ranging conversation, she described the value of joy; the importance of maintaining emotional health; the work of just a few of the many charities with which she is involved; the impetus behind her involvement in eradicating human slavery and people trafficking; and her admiration of Prince Albert and what he developed in the UK. She spoke of her wish to give back to China "because we all take so much from China". When asked about her views on journalists and her treatment by the media, she shared that she recognised that the more the media write about her, the more power she has to help with important issues such as education but that it can be very hard to take what journalists write. The duchess ended the night by gifting Sir David and his wife with a box full of symbols of their friendship.

This live, public talk and Q&A was recorded at China Exchange in Chinatown, London, UK on 22 September 2016
