Vietnam’s ruling Communist Party is gathering to select the country’s leaders. The national congress, which kicked off in Hanoi on January 26, 2021, is the first since 2016. In nine days of meetings, nearly 1,600 delegates will pick a leadership team and shape policies for the next five years.
