The nadis are the channels that go on either side of the spine. These are not in the physical. They are like the chakras. These are energy channels for spiritual energy or etheric energy.

There are three main nadis: one in the center (the sushumna), one starting on the left at the bottom of the spine (the ida), and then on the right side or the masculine is the pingala. They are twining like a vine back and forth over the spinal column.

There is a mantra using only the word Rama, specifically for these two nadis. The RA is for the masculine. Then the MA is the feminine energy. You're chanting just those two syllables. This has the action of pulling the energy or kundalini up the spine.

Rama is the seventh incarnation of Vishnu. So he is a Hindu god. And there are some who believe that the names of the Hindu gods and goddesses are created actually because they are a stimulation of the energy system. It's a spiritual technology and the devotion to those particular deities and the chanting of their names is actually a technology to bring the energy of the spiritual realm into the physical and to enlighten and enliven the individual.

A 16th century monk named Tulsidas actually had a group of people use the name of Rama to raise a man from the dead. We look at that as sort of the ultimate miracle, Jesus raising people from the dead. But there are yogis who have done those kind of miracles as well. And that's amazing.
