JDM: Rise of the Scorpion - Nissan 350z | Steering wheel gameplay

Описание к видео JDM: Rise of the Scorpion - Nissan 350z | Steering wheel gameplay

A freeroam drive in a modified Nissan 350z widebody in JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, driven using Thrustmaster TX (T300 base), TH8A shifter, and TSS handbrake.

JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is the prologue to the game Japanese Drift Master, releasing on this 8th of August (free to play).
So what do I think about the game? (Keep in mind the game is still work in progress)
In short, I loved it! Compared to the last build I played back in 2023, there's a lot of improvements. Especially regarding the optimization. The game finally runs smooth and stutter-free on my PC! All my control devices (shifter, handbrake) work flawlessly now (still can't look around using a mouse) and the wheel force feedback works better out of the box.
But it's not all perfect. For this current build, the FFB settings were not adjustable (it was for the previous build). And the FFB felt very weak on my wheel (I had to bump the strength to 100% but it was still weak). The wheel goes where it should but it lacks any details. I had to work the steering a lot more than I should have. I heard it works better on a direct-drive wheel, but I've never tried that. Overall it's a big improvement compared to the last build. So I do have faith in the developers.
I like the 3rd person cam in this game but I don't like how it goes too far away as you speed up. I'm not a fan of the cockpit cam as well. Don't get me wrong I like how they implemented the full rotation animation for the steering but the driver's hands look so bad like it's from a mobile game. Devs, please work on this or add an option to hide the arms (also would like to see camera adjustment settings). The HUD seems to have changed a lot. Check my old video for a direct comparison (   • Japanese Drift Master - Nissan Silvia...  )
The vehicle sounds are great; something which I was very impressed with from the older build. It's nice to know the newer cars sound great as well (thank you devs ♥).

What do you guys think about this game? Also, let me know if you guys want to see me play the story mode!
