How to Disable IR Remote Control Functionality on LG Televisions

This is how to disable the remote-control use on your LG TV. In other words, lock the TV from accepting remote control commands. No one will be able to change the settings, change channels or change the volume with any remote control on your LG TV. This is achieved by using the hidden menu known as Hotel mode which is inbuilt into LG TV's.

Procedure
1. Press and Hold settings button for 5 seconds until you see a change on the screen
2. Press the buttons 1105
3. Press the OK/Enter button
4. Scroll down to Key Operation (Key Management on Smart TV's) then IR Operation
5. Change it to Use Power Only or Block All

This tutorial only works for Infra-Red remote controls (IR). This tutorial will not work on magic motion/Bluetooth remote controls. This tutorial is closely related to this other video
