When we replace judgment with a genuine desire to explore and understand, we open ourselves to new perspectives. This approach fosters growth, self-compassion, and an openness to life’s experiences, allowing us to move beyond the rigidity of judgment.

About Mamata Misra

Mamata Misra is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, teaching various mindfulness classes in Austin, Texas since 2016. She was trained by the UMASS Center For Mindfulness, Mindfulness Center at Brown University, and East Coast Mindfulness. She has lived in Austin, Texas since 1974. Before becoming a mindfulness teacher, she worked as a software engineer, a peer counselor and advocate for victims and survivors of family violence, a community educator, and a director of a non-profit. She teaches during Fall and Spring. When not teaching, she attends long silent meditation retreats, and courses for teacher advancement.
