Swatching Quinacridone Pink by Daniel Smith

Adding a new colour to my collection. This is Quinacridone Pink made by @danielsmithartistsmaterials .

As an urbansketcher I rarely get to use lots of bright and loud colours so I look forward to using them in my still life/floral paintings.

I have been looking for another bright pink to add more punch. This Quin pink definitely has a wide range, moving from a soft blush to a hot pink. Very ‘clean’ colour with no granulation. A more stable colour compared to Rhodonite and Opera Pink.

So far from my swatching, I can say this colour works fairly well with other colours from my palette. This swatch was made in my @etchr_lab hot press sketchbook. Need to test it on my cold press paper too. More testing to find other interesting combinations.
