I always found New Age music to be extremly fascinating, being directly responsible for the evolution of contemporary ambient music like it is now. So when I discovered this behemoth of a holy grail (along with several other very interesting items to be presented in the future ;) I almost paniced. Egg Of Time is a bit more of the wall, spiritual and esoteric than some of the more well known releases in the genre (e.g. Opera Sauvage by Vangelis, various Japanese artist and the big dog that is Jean Michel Jarre). Nevertheless, it is still considered an absolute classic, and it gets increasingly hard to find...
Dr. Jeffery Thompson is a very interesting artist, and his work is a deep rabbit hole of obscure healing methods, brain research and variouse strange psychologies. I highly recommend you check out a few of the links bellow, and do a deep dive into the guys legacy if strange pseudo science and new age religion is something that interessts you!
I leave you now with a description taken from the album, about the compositional practices and sound design:
This recording is the product of nine yeats of continuing research into the use of sound and music in deep relaxation and well being. Listen with eyes closed in a quiet and darkened room. There are multiple levels of sound frequency patterns built into the sounds and music on this recording for resonating brainwaves into deep states of relaxation. Many of these frequencies are processed using the stereo field extensively, so please listen with good stereo separation. . Some of the sounds on this recording are created through a special process called "Primordial Processing". The kind of sounds which have been processed this way include:
Human body sounds, breathing, heartbeat, etc.
Nature/earth sounds, dolphins, winds, water, etc.
Tibetan bowl, bells, gongs
Japanese flute
NASA/Voyager II space sounds from the planets in our Solar System.
Many of these sounds have been electronically processed so that only the subconscious mind can recognize them. This causes a deep level relaxation/energizing response. The last song on side two "Louise 1990" was created specifically for the "Healing in the 90's" conference sponsored by the best selling author Louise Hay, held in Santa Monica in January 1990.

Q: Why did you upload a terrible sounding copy?
A: Since this is an archive of MY collection, i believe i should preserve everything (even the flaws). If you are looking for a place for high fidelity “audiophile” clean recordings, this channel is not it. I clean my records thoroughly before making a video.
Q: Can you upload [insert album]?
A: I upload what i have, and what i deem worth uploading. This excludes widly known records (Beatles as an eksample) and releases from huge labels that i evaluate as too risky for copyright reasons.

A: Sure!

Q: What are the recording specs?
A: All audio is recorded via a Presonus USB 96 soundcard from a Technics RS-TR 373 Mark II to my Macbook Pro (2016) via Ableton. Audio is 192khz 24bit uncompressed wav. Video runs at 60fps with a 1080p resolution and has no audio.
Video editing is in Imovie and recorded with an Iphone 8.
Q: Are any of your recordings edited?
A: No. I do adjust volume if necessary but other then that the recordings are 100% unedited.
