New 3-Axis Delta Robot from FANUC Indexes 400 Products/Minute

FANUC America is proud to announce the addition of a new robot to the FANUC M-2iA Series of Delta Robots -- the new FANUC M-2iA/6HL, three-axis robot for super high-speed pick and place applications. The FANUC M-2iA/6HL is the long arm version of FANUC's new three axis M-2iA robot, offering a 6 kg payload and a reach of 1130mm wide x 400mm high.

In this application, the new FANUC M-2iA/6HL Robot is picking four breakfast bars at a time from an indexing conveyor at rates of 400 indexes per minute. The robot places the bars onto trays located on a continuous conveyor. This robot is extremely fast and ideal for packagers of food and consumer goods that require high-speed picking without the need to rotate the product with a fourth axis at the robot's wrist. The robot then reverses the process and picks bars from the continuous conveyor and places them back onto the indexing conveyor.
