How to Trap in a Street Fight

Something important in terms of close quarter striking: trapping. Many self defense experts use the same method for trapping, which is to grab your attacker from behind the neck. The problem with this method is that if your attacker is larger than you, he can easily escape that trap you have created.

A good trap method in a street fight is to get leverage you can use to trap your attacker. Clothing usually qualifies as good leverage. Getting a grip on your attacker's shirt and using it to choke him while trapping him in a stance can allow you the chance to strike him in a fight.

The shirt can allow you to choke, strike, and move it around his head to blind him. It's an excellent tool to use to trap in a street fight.
