Okay, today we are going to talk about the importance of marketing systems when preparing to sell your HVAC company. That may sound strange because you probably get calls, emails, and messages from marketers all the time, and they might kind of be a pain in some cases if you're not already working with one. But they are valuable, believe it or not, to investors.

The reason why is that it ties back to some of the things we talked about previously, and that has to do with your company being able to run without you. Your company being an asset that runs without you in the business. So, with marketing systems in place, it creates a nice track record of how clients are coming in. Hopefully, the clients that are coming in aren't just because of the owner because a lot of owners, probably yourself included, are very successful motivated people who are pretty good at sales as well.

So, having those marketing systems that are working well hopefully shows that your business can continue to bring in clients without the owner, which makes your business very valuable. If you don't have marketing systems in place currently, definitely get those in place so we can start getting clients coming in. And where it's not just word of mouth because of the great owner in the business.

Investors will see that as a risk when there's not those proven systems in place, so that'll help you get a better price and better terms for your business. And it'll take some stress off of you because you'll know you don't have to constantly be out there selling for your company because your marketing systems are working appropriately.

And sometimes it takes a while to get those systems dialed in, so the sooner you start that, the better. It'll help you get as prepared as possible. So, hopefully, you found that helpful, and stay tuned for the next episode.
