Grefsenkollen is a lookout point and restaurant in the north of Oslo. It's located on a hill in a forest area called Lillomarka. The road up to Grefsenkollen (Grefsenkollveien) is popular amoung runners and cyclists due to the steep incline. Longboarders are also use Grefsenkollveien for downhill racing.

Every May there is an uphill race (run) that finishes at Grefsenkollen. The name of the race is Grefsenkollen Opp, and the website is:

You can get to the top of Grefsenkollen by walking along the road, or by taking one of the numerous foot paths in the forest that leed up to the peak. Bus number 56B goes almost all the way to the top as well.

From Grefsenkollen you have a magnifisent view over downtown Oslo, the western neighborhoods, and Holmenkollen ski jump. You can also see the Oslo Fjord, the islands in the fjord, and Nesodden on the other side of it.

A bit further down from the peak is Oslo Ski Senter. Oslo Ski Senter has several slopes and lifts, and you can rent skis. The website is:
