How I Survived 10 days in the Worlds Most Dangerous Jungle Ep | 85

This is the story of how I was able to go inside the Darien Gap! How I made connections and friendships that allowed me to live amongst an Indigenous tribe called the Wounaan for over 30 days! This specific video highlights 10 days of my original expedition deep along the Tuira river into villages like Capeti, Boca de Cupe, and Yaviza.

When I first got to Yaviza I sought after a referral I had gotten to seek after a guy named Einer. After asking around a bit I found him and he was very kind to me. He mentioned that his friend Sebedeo had told him I would be coming and to offer me a place to stay.

After spending a few days with Einer and his friends I got permission to go deeper up the Tuira river to go to village called Capeti. There I would be greeted by a man named Diriano. In Capeti I learned how to harvest Yams, cook a few dishes with plantains, a few phrases in Wounaam, and a lot other things. After spending just under a week in Capeti I made a 7 hour boar ride down the river to return to Yaviza! It was one of the coolest experiences Ive had on this trip!

For some bonus footage I went to Panama City to source a gift worthy of the vast amounts of kindness I felt all throughout the Wounaan tribe! Then I rode in a cargo truck back to Yaviza to give the Tribe their gift! It solidified what I'm sure will be many lifelong friendships!
