Dewalt 20v chainsaw 6 year review

I realized the other day that I’ve had this little saw for quite awhile and figured I’d do a bit of a review on it. This is the Dewalt 20 volt chainsaw (link below to amazon).

It’s been a great little saw to take camping and overlanding. I always like running my gas saws but I don’t always want to bring gas with me. For clearing some small trees or branches on the road or getting some firewood at camp this works great.

I already had 4 Dewalt batteries for my impact and drill (two 1.5amp hour and two 4amp hour) so I bought the tool only. The 1.5 amp hour batteries don’t last very long so I pretty much just run the 4 amp hour ones until this year when I also picked up a couple 6 amp hour batteries.

There’s a lot of choices with battery powered saws and you can spend quite a bit of money on them so if you already have some battery powered tools you may be able to save a bit of money by sticking with the same brand.
