Brothers in Arms (Joan Baez version) with added guitar in style of M. Knopfler

"Brothers in Arms" is a well known song by Dire Straits and I like it very much, espacially the kind of Mark Kopfler's sound and playing his Gibson Les Paul. But then I found this song in a version by Joan Baez and was impressed by her wonderful voice. This made me think of a version with added guitar sounds which the track was missing. So I added some Gibson Les Paul sounds ('58 Gibson Les Paul V.O.S.) as well as a Strat ('Eric Clapton "Blackie"') and an acoustic guitar for background.
If the listener thinks the guitars belong to this track right from the beginning then I did the job, because the intention was to retain the character of this wonderful piece of music.

"Brothers in Arms" ist ein bekanntes Stück von Dire Straits, das ich sehr mag, besonders die Art des Sounds und der Spielweise der von Mark Konpfler gespielten Gibson Les Paul. Kürzlich entdeckte ich eine Version des Stücks von Joan Baez und war beeindruckt von ihrer Stimme. Da diese Fassung keine Gitarrensounds enthält, kam ich auf die Idee, diese nachträglich einzufügen. Dazu nutzte ich eine 58'er Gibson Les Paul V.O.S., ferner für die Backgrounds eine Eric Clapton Fender Stratocaster 'Blackie' sowie eine Ortega Akkustik-Gitarre. Wenn die hinzugefügten Gitarrenspuren auf den Hörer so wirken, als seien sie von Beginn an im Stück enthalten gewesen, ist das Ziel erreicht, denn der Charakter des Stückes sollte voll erhalten und nicht verfälscht werden.
