U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15 in Alaska to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, Trump said on Friday. White House Officials have confirmed the meeting will take place at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.
Donald Trump has said that Vladimir Putin is “not going to mess around with me”, ahead of his crunch meeting with the Russian leader in Alaska.
During a press conference at the White House, the US president also floated the idea that European leaders could be invited to participate in a second meeting, which would include Volodymyr Zelensky.
U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be meeting in Alaska on Friday, 15 August. The bilateral summit will focus on a peace deal in Ukraine as the war continues.
