While the most commonly used weapons of the Chechen wars might have been the AK-47 and the RPG, Chechen combatants did acquire a number of these AGS-30's. The AGS-30 fires a 30mm grenade and can fire at a rate of 400 rounds per minute (although a lack of ammunition and user experience likely limited rates of fire in combat to far below that official threshold). With an official effective range of 2000 meters, weapons like the AGS-30 also extended the combat range of Chechen forces somewhat.
