"Abandon Pitcairn" is a tribute to the legendary Greek composer Vangelis, composed and arranged by Oscar Contreras. Inspired by the iconic soundtrack of "Mutiny on the Bounty", this piece evokes the dramatic and solitary atmosphere of the infamous story of the mutiny and its aftermath. The music takes us on a journey through the desolate horizon of the Pacific Ocean, where the mutineers settled on the remote Pitcairn Island, and imagines an alternate fate for Fletcher Christian, the leader of the mutineers. What if he had to flee from traitors and abandon the island to an unknown destination?
