BAD MEN is a 94 minute feature film motion picture that is divided here on Youtube into two parts, each about 47 minutes long. This movie was shot on 16 mm film in and around East and South Central Los Angeles in 1990, shortly before the now infamous L.A. riots.

This crime drama movie was written and directed by MICHAEL HADDAD and stands up surprisingly well in 2016. Although some of the attitides towards race and gender are pretty non-PC/hilarious/S-A-D etc.

he movie is starring me as well as Douglas Armistead. I think that Douglas in particular does a fierce acting job in this. I have never seen this entire movie until now because it was never available with audible sound before. The audio is still a little low so raise the volume on your viewer.

One thing to keep in mind is this is a ROUGH CUT of the feature film so there is a time code through-out in the lower left hand corner and there are little to no sound effects, no music, some audio issues etc...it doesn't matter though in the sense that it is a complete motion picture with beginning, middle and end....replete with cop car chases, robberies, gun violence, sex, nudity, profanity, wisdom etc.

All in all I think Michael Haddad did a great job writing and directing this motion picture. If I remember correctly the budget was around $100,000 and it is the only acting job I ever got paid for. I got to do a little improv and writing for this character and movie but not much. One interesting thing I remember is they forgot to bring blanks for my gun to the set on the day we shot the gun range scene so my character (and me!) actually shot real bullets during that scene....don't tell the LAPD.
